What it offers
The Vinsmoselle cooperative's biggest winery, in Wellenstein. Tastings in the vinothèque, cellar tours most of the year, and a bus to Luxembourg City from the door.
Practical details
Founded in 1930, Wellenstein is the largest site of Domaines Vinsmoselle, the growers’ cooperative. Its main winemaking cellar and its shipping centre are here. Some of Visit Moselle’s guided vineyard walks, including the shorter “Wine tour for all”, meet in front of the building.
- Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 10:00 to 18:00. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
- Tastings: booked online from the cooperative’s site. Prices aren’t shown on their pages. Groups of 10 or more: +352 26 66 14 20 or tourisme@vinsmoselle.lu.
- Cellar tours: all year except around harvest (about September), roughly an hour (Visit Moselle).
- Age: tastings are for 16 and over (their page).
- Without a car: the stop Wellenstein, Caves coop. is right by the building. Line 413 runs to Luxembourg Gare Centrale one way and Remich the other, at weekends too.
