Practical details
Mathias Duhr started the estate in 1872, and it has stayed in the family. It was one of the first in Luxembourg to age wine in oak barriques, in 1982, and the barrique cuvées are still among its best known. The vineyards are small plots spread along the river between Wintrange and Mertert, harvested by hand.
- Tastings, per person: 4 glasses €16, 6 glasses €22, 8 glasses €40, or 8 glasses with a visit of the cellar €45. Book through the “Réservations” link on their site.
- Opening hours (Visit Luxembourg): Monday to Friday 9:00 to 12:00 and 13:30 to 17:00. Closed at weekends.
