Practical details
The Ruppert family has made wine in Schengen since at least 1680, and Henri Ruppert Jr is the eighth generation. The cellar and wine bar sit on the Markusberg, in a building designed by François Valentiny. The wine bar serves by the glass and has a short food menu.
- Tastings in the wine bar: any 4 wines €16, any 6 wines €22. Reserve a table if you can.
- Open cellar tour with tasting: €29 per person, about an hour, four wines. Thursdays at 18:30 and Saturdays at 10:00. Book your place.
- Wine bar hours (Visit Moselle): Wednesday to Friday 14:00 to 21:00, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 to 21:00. Closed Monday, Tuesday and public holidays except 1 May. Closed for a few weeks in winter.

- Without a car: the stop Schengen, Séckerbaach is about 120 m away (line 432 to Remich). Schengen, Ennen am Doref, about 230 m away, has line 402 to Luxembourg, Gare Rocade, at weekends too.
